Have you ever felt like something is holding you back from reaching your highest potential? What’s preventing you from making that life-changing transition or taking that bold step forward? What is it that you know you should be doing, but haven’t started yet?
I understand that we’re living in challenging times, with a lot of different energies and obstacles surrounding us. But even in the midst of this, you can still take small steps toward your goals and dreams. You feel me?
Is it your ego that’s holding you back? Have you found yourself trapped in a cycle of negative self-talk, self-doubt, or even self-hate? Maybe you’ve closed yourself off, telling yourself, “It’s not going to work. It’s going to fail. I don’t have what it takes.” If you’ve been engaging in this kind of self-talk, it’s no wonder negativity has been holding you back from embracing your true self.
Another factor that might be holding you back is illusion. Maybe mirror work is needed, or perhaps you’re experiencing FOMO—fear of missing out. You see others succeeding and think, “I could do that too,” but then you talk yourself out of it. You know you have the potential, but you’re not putting in the action. You’re stuck in resistance, trapped in a mental prison or even a physical one you’ve built for yourself.
Perhaps you’ve allowed the opinions of others to dictate your future, and now you’re not listening to your inner guide, your intuition. You’re not allowing yourself the happiness you deserve because you’ve spent your life living for others. But now is the time to let go of these shadows and walk into the light. There are doors opening for you, but you’re not allowing yourself the opportunity to walk through them because you’re caught up in negative self-talk and toxic thoughts.
But here’s the thing—you have leader potential. You’re not a follower; you’re a leader. The only problem is that you’re overthinking whether people will follow you, listen to you, or care about what you have to say. The truth is, now is the right time for you to step into that leadership role. The only thing holding you back is yourself.
Reflect on this: What is it that you’ve wanted to do since childhood? Something that taps into your inner child, something playful and lighthearted? It’s essential to find joy in what you do because, deep down, you’re a big kid at heart. Whether you love playing video games, board games, or social games, or maybe you’re even a bit of a prankster, it’s all in good fun.
If you’ve buried that playful side because you’ve been told, “You’re an adult now; childish things need to be put away,” it’s time to bring it back. Living only in “adult mode” has made life feel dull, stagnant, and uninspired. You’ve been focusing on what society says is important, but you’re missing out on what truly brings you joy.
If you want to break free from that stagnation and start living life on your terms, it’s time to reconnect with your inner child. Don’t let life control you—take control and start living with intention.
